Our Lady of the Rosary with Flowers painted by Gwyneth Thompson-Briggs of Saint Louis Missouri was commissioned in gratitude for Our Lady’s powerful intercession and victory over injustice. In the faithful recitation of the Holy Rosary, specifically the 54-Day Rosary Novena, steadfast belief in Our Lady’s fifteen promises of the Rosary, and standing firm upon the rights guaranteed to all Americans in the national Constitution, there is Hope and Victory for America.

Gwyneth Thompson-Briggs, oil on canvas, 2025.
Our Lady is depicted holding the Christ Child, the Redeemer of the World, in her arms. The Child lovingly looks upon His mother as He crowns her with a wreath flowers, a symbol of our prayers.Similarly, the robins lift upwards from the earth to Our Lady a festoon of roses and other flowers. The crown and festoon represent the Rosaries offered as gifts to Our Lady in petition and thanksgiving for her powerful intercession in our request. Our Lady gently holds the hand of the Child with the tender affection of a loving mother. The attention of the viewer is drawn about the canvas from the Blessed Mother, to the Child, to the Rosary; framed in flowers symbolizing our prayers.
Symbolism:
Roses: The three types of roses in the painting: white, red, and white tinged with red, symbolize the Joyful, Sorrowful, and Glorious Mysteries
Lily of the Valley: The Lily of the Valley symbolizes Our Lady’s purity and humility as well as her tears at the foot of the Cross.
Strawberries and Blossoms: The Strawberries and blossoms symbolize perfect righteousness and the emblem of the righteous man whose fruits are good works.

Robins: The robins symbolize Divine compassion and sacrifice for love of Christ as well as renewed hope and diligent faith. This story starts in little Connecticut, the Constitution State, and the robins, as the Connecticut state bird, represent the beginnings of this petition to restore Constitutional governance with Our Lady’s help.
Ribbons: The ribbons of red, white, and blue woven in the festoon and carried by the robins give a nod to America.
If the American People, the de jure government, understood the power of the National Constitution, We the People could peacefully turn our Country around in good time. “The Constitution is a written instrument. As such, its meaning does not alter. That which it meant when it was adopted, it means now.” S. Carolina v. U.S., 199 U.S. 437, 448 (1905)
Beginning on May 12, 2026 and ending on July 4, 2026, join Americans, from sea to shining sea, in a 54 Day Rosary Novena, 27 days in petition and 27 days in thanksgiving to Our Lady for the urgent intention of Restoring Constitutional Governance in America. Our beloved country belongs to a government of right, founded on God’s law and subject to the Constitution, where the inalienable rights of men endowed by our Creator are acknowledged and upheld.
